Introducing the Creative Suite Update: Brush, Text, Stickers, Frames, Filters
What shipped in the Creative Suite update
This release turns Image Tools from a purely “production” utility into a creative online image editor. We added five new tools—brush, text, stickers, frames, filters—and reorganized them in a left toolbar so you can jump between creation and production tasks in a single canvas.
You can now sketch, annotate, decorate, and stylize images before running your usual resize, crop, rotate, watermark, compression, and format conversion pipeline.
Brush: precise strokes with opacity control
The brush is designed for annotations, callouts, and hand‑drawn details:
- Adjustable width, color, and opacity for subtle or bold strokes.
- Drawing mode toggled directly from the left toolbar, so you can turn it on only when needed.
- Editable paths that remain separate objects on the Fabric canvas.
Because brush strokes stay editable, you can reposition or delete them after a crop or rotation—ideal for walkthrough screenshots, product annotations, or tutorial images you want to keep tidy.
Text: auto‑inserted and ready to type
The Text tool is tightly integrated with the editor’s workflow:
- When you open the editor from the Text tool, a text object is automatically added on your first upload.
- The text layer is selected and focused so you can overwrite the placeholder instantly.
- Font family, size, and color sync with the right‑hand parameter panel.
This makes Image Tools a practical “add text to photo” editor in the browser, without pop‑ups or complex layer panels. The text object remains above the background image so it never gets lost behind your content.
Stickers: lightweight asset drops
Stickers are perfect for badges, labels, and seasonal decorations:
- Images load via native
Imageobjects for reliability and performance. - Opacity and rotation inherit from the sticker panel so you can tune style centrally.
- New stickers land centered on the canvas to keep layouts predictable.
You can move, rotate, or adjust a sticker at any point in the workflow, which is especially useful for campaign badges (“New”, “Sale”, “Limited”) that you want to test in multiple positions.
Frames and filters: polish without exporting
Frames and filters add finishing touches directly inside the editor:
- Frames: simple, double, and rounded borders with color and opacity controls.
- Filters: grayscale, sepia, blur, brightness, and contrast for mood and consistency.
Both render live on the Fabric canvas and respect crop and rotate states so you see the exact export. This lets you standardize the look and feel of blog images, social graphics, and product photos without hopping into a separate design tool.
Existing tools got faster
The Creative Suite update also strengthens the core processing tools:
- Resize keeps ratio‑safe presets and auto‑updates when you change canvas dimensions.
- Crop runs with a visible overlay and green handles, plus aspect presets for social ratios.
- Rotate re‑centers the image after flips and keeps dimension reporting accurate.
- Watermark respects scaling on huge and tiny canvases for consistent brand sizing.
- Compression & format conversion clamp quality to valid ranges and expose progressive JPEG when needed.
These improvements matter if you depend on Image Tools as a batch image editor for real production work.
Batch‑friendly and SEO‑friendly exports
All five creative tools are batch‑aware. The editor still supports Download All with ZIP bundling, while single‑image export stays one click away. You can decorate a single representative image, validate the look, then apply the same settings across a full campaign set.
The result: faster turnaround for assets used on landing pages, blogs, and marketing sites—which directly supports better SEO, fresher visuals, and more consistent branding.
If you are coming from legacy desktop tools, try this flow: add text, drop a sticker, apply a subtle filter, resize for web, and compress to WebP—all without leaving your browser.
